Caladiums are a genus of popular ornamental plants. They have large leaves, which gives rise to the colloquial name of ‘Elephant Ear’ – something they share with Alocasia and Colocasia, which are also members of the Araceae family to which Caladiums belong. They are also sometimes called ‘Angel Wings’ or ‘Heart of Jesus’. They emerge during the rainy season in Central and South America, as well as in parts of Africa and India. Their leaves are often patterned in striking and unusual colors, particularly pink.

Other than a set of deep green veins, the Pink Symphony is pink all-over. Pink Symphony’s leaves have pointed ends and the consistency of freshly ironed linen. As with other species of Caladium, the Pink Symphony is unlikely to grow beyond two feet tall.
Pink Symphony is an avid lover of shade and should not be allowed too much exposure to sunlight. It will want loamy soil and a relatively high level of humidity. In less humid environments, it should be watered as often as non-tropical plants, but those in humid environments will find that Pink Symphony tolerates semi-regular watering.
